Maritime Legal Assistant

Maritime Defense law firm has a full-time position for an experienced litigation Legal Assistant with desire to work in a exciting fast-paced office. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth running of the office and effective case management by providing legal services under the supervision of an attorney. This individual will communicate frequently with the clients in order to serve them adequately. Additionally, this candidate should be organized, motivated and independent.

This is not a remote position!!

Maritime Legal Assistant Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to lawyer
• Filing in Federal and State Court
• Filing in Virgin Island Cases
• Entering Attorney billable hours
• Handle communication with clients
• Organize files
• Calendaring

Maritime Legal Assistant Qualifications

• Experience in legal assistance
• Familiarity with law, legal procedures, and protocols
