Supervisor Outbound sales, USA TODAY NETWORK/GANNETT
The Gannett Outbound Call center has an immediate opening for the Outbound Sales Supervisor position. The Outbound Sales Supervisor reports to the Outbound Retention Manager. The Outbound Sales Supervisor will be required to have advanced knowledge of products, along with advanced knowledge of procedures and guidelines. This position is responsible for recruiting, supervising, live coaching, and motivating team members. This position requires an individual who can communicate and assess the work performance of their employees and identifying areas that need improvement. Ensuring that business goals, deadlines and performance standards are met.

Responsibilities
  • To recruit, supervise, live coach, and motivate outbound sales team to achieve quality sales production to meet home delivery volume expectations.
  • Must meet department sales goals on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure that all sales reps provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers in a professional and timely manner, conveying to all customers our appreciation for their business.
  • Monitor, coach and motivate outbound sales and retention staff on a daily basis to develop successful selling techniques in order to achieve individual and departmental sales goals
  • Monitor performance levels of individual outbound sales representatives and retention representatives, initiating Performance Improvement Plans according to the department's minimum productivity standard.
  • Assist in recruiting, selecting, and training new outbound sales and retention representatives to maintain budgeted OBS payroll hour level.
  • Compile, track and analyze individual performance via required reports (daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports).
  • Develop and implement weekly sales contests, within budgeted resources, to motivate outbound sales and retention teams to achieve department objectives.
  • Conduct ongoing live coaching for existing outbound sales and retention staff on a daily basis/weekly/monthly basis.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records including but not limited to individual and department
productivity, quality, attendance, payroll and performance evaluations.
  • Execute special projects as assigned by management.
  • Utilize auto dialer to maintain efficient and effective campaign performance. Track and analyze auto dialer reports for effectiveness.
  • Effective sales scripting, targeting campaign segmentation.
  • Maintain a good safety record by training and monitoring employees to perform work safely.
  • Investigate all employee injuries to determine cause and take necessary preventive action.
  • Able to react productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned
Requirements
1. Minimum of 1 year of Sales Leadership experience in call center setting
2. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are required. Must have strong time management and organizational skills.
3. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure, ever-evolving environment.
4. Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills along with excellent verbal and written communication skills are mandatory
5. A track-record of innovation and initiative
6. Proven record of successfully leading in a goal-oriented, highly accountable sales team in a fast-paced environment.
