The Market President is the top Commercial Executive in the designated market, responsible for achieving all profit and growth goals for the market. The Market President provides leadership and direction primarily for Commercial associates and executing the Company's overall goals, strategies, philosophies and culture in the market. This leader will help establish and grow the Central Bank brand as a community partner in the market, and immerse Central Bank in local business, civic and government to enhance our presence throughout the market.. The Market President will develop and originate new business opportunities for the Bank and remain actively involved in the community.
Position Summary and Key Accountabilities
As a Market Executive, your primary responsibility is to grow and retain profitable commercial banking relationships across your designated market area. The Market President develops revenue growth through the generation of loans, deposits and non-interest income; reviews loan requests and their underwriting; and ensures effective management of commercial relationships. Credit process management is a critical component of your experience.

- Significant leadership and management experience
- An undergraduate degree. Focal areas of finance, economics, or accounting preferred
- CPA or MBA or equivalent experience in finance, accounting and business law
- 12-16 years of relevant experience in negotiating and structuring financial transactions
- Minimum of 12 years in financial services industry experience in a corporate lending environment developing business
- Formal credit training and prior lending authority
- Must possess an in-depth level of credit knowledge and strong portfolio management skills.
- Credit analysis experience/understanding
- Excellent knowledge of the organizational lending and portfolio management policies and objectives
- Excellent knowledge of the bank's financial solution products and services
- Expert knowledge in one or more areas as recognized by clients and peers
Skills/Competencies:
- Exceptional abilities in business development with demonstrated excellence in cross-selling success, sustaining significant revenue generation.
- Highly developed written and oral communication skills.
- Exceptional analytical skills.
- Expertise in financial computer applications and database management tools including MS Excel. Strong proficiency in other Microsoft Office products and the Internet.
- Strong interpersonal skills used within a team environment and in client interaction with emphasis on relationship building.
- Strong ability to advocate persuasively.
- Ability to work under limited supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt quickly.
- Excellent capability to independently and proactively service multiple clients and effectively manage multiple priorities.
- Proven abilities in managerial and leadership skills.
- The Market President (MP) has overall responsibility for the leadership and management of a market. The Market President manages the full range of commercial and retail banking activities within a particular market with direct responsibility for the management of the RVPs in the market in conjunction with Commercial lending teams while working in close partnership with the Retail Director and other senior leadership.
