Overview:
Under the general direction of the Media Manager, this role is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of automated marketing initiatives and ad-hoc email communications to support the credit union’s strategic plan. Specifically, this role manages strategy and partners with stakeholders throughout the credit union to execute and measure member communications and marketing campaigns related to new and existing financial products and services, compliance and account information.
Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Manage all member communications, largely via email, in line with business needs while maintaining brand consistency across all assets.
  • Implement and maintain a robust marketing automation plan utilizing Marketo and member data to track programs, campaigns, assets, member activity and leads.
  • Act as the primary administrator for the Marketo platform, including managing user access, troubleshooting technical issues and maintaining data integrity.
  • Develop, grow and measure complex nurture campaigns, including onboarding, cross-sell, lifecycle and product campaigns based on list segmentations.
  • Manage targeted, direct member communications by creating, scheduling, testing and reporting performance on emails, forms, landing pages and overall campaigns.
  • Support copywriting and content generation to ensure all campaigns align with business objectives while maintaining brand consistency across all assets.
  • Regularly communicate campaign results and present insights and takeaways while always seeking opportunities for campaign improvement and efficiencies.
  • Stay up to date on the latest marketing automation best practices and technologies, and provide guidance and training to the marketing team as needed.
  • Align closely with business partners such as retail, mortgage, investments, lending, business, operations, and contact center to execute business development plans.
  • Partner with business intelligence analyst, member experience analyst, database administrator (DBA) and technology to develop member communication criteria and target lists for various channels (such as email, direct mail, social, and outbound call lists.) Also maintain understanding of data queries, processes and governance.
  • Integrate closely with other areas of marketing (e.g. digital marketing, events, social media, public relations, etc.)
  • Incorporate credit union policies and procedures to ensure all marketing-related activities conform to applicable regulatory and credit union mandated standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree preferred and 4-5 years of previous experience in a marketing department.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation (Marketo) and email marketing is required.
  • Strong attention to detail, data flow logic and proactive nature is essential.
  • Ability to organize and manage budgets of overlapping projects and initiatives.
  • Thrives in managing multiple projects with tight deadlines and high expectations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to communicate with people at all levels inside and out of the organization.
  • Proven ability to perform and apply design skills across multiple channels including web, traditional and digital.
  • Experience presenting findings, campaign results, analytics and insights to optimize performance and inform leadership.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of HTML coding for email.
  • Previous experience within a financial institution with product knowledge and development experience is preferable.
  • Ability and willingness to be on call for emergency member communications.
  • Valid driver’s license.
