Position Summary :
The Marketing Coordinator coordinates the production of print and electronic marketing projects and provide support to warehouses to build Costco Travel awareness. The individual in this position maintains timelines, works closely with the buying teams to ensure a smooth process, works with Costco Home Office, and supports the daily operations of Costco Travel marketing communications. The successful candidate will be a motivated, positive, and energetic person with a keen eye for detail, and is able to juggle multiple tasks and seek challenging opportunities in a fast-paced, often-stressful, environment.

Job Duties/Essential Functions :
  • Updates the master marketing calendar, daily job production doc, marketing 360 calendar, and tracking docs; handles multiple inboxes’ emails.
  • Advises buying teams of available marketing opportunities and secures commitments.
  • Creates, announces, and manages production due dates, timelines, and reconciliation and tracking of marketing projects.
  • Meets project timelines and works in advance of production dates to gather information from stakeholders.
  • Coordinates requirements and reserves space in marketing and training channels at the home office such as: Costco.com, mailers, Services spotlights, Costco Connection, Costco U modules, Costco Today, video ads and employee videos.
  • Updates spreadsheets with budget details and interacts with accounting department.
  • Works with Manager and warehouses to coordinate warehouse projects such as kiosk panels, posters, video and, other display signage as needed.
  • Provides support as needed for marketing communications manager.
  • Assists in other areas of the department and company as necessary.

Experience, Skills, Education & Licenses/Certifications :
Required:
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a strong sense of project ownership.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to produce and complete numerous projects with varying deadlines; ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to recognize problems, identify solutions, and work independently.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with constantly changing priorities.
  • Basic understanding of proofreading, editing, and Costco language standards.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.

Recommended:
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Google products.
  • Ability to represent the marketing department professionally to suppliers, warehouse staff, and corporate colleagues.
  • Experience in digital marketing and design.
  • Travel Industry experience preferred.
