Summary of Position:
As the Marketing Coordinator (MC) for the Crooked Hammock Brewery (CHB) brand, your role is to lead all local marketing efforts at your assigned brewpub (unit). This job ensures that all brand directives are applied at the local level. This includes placement of promotional materials, transfer of knowledge of programming to operations (Ops), maintenance of vibe standards such as music, screens and decor.
A big part of the job entails developing live programming in collaboration with the marketing team and local Ops. This position must work with the Marketing team to create and execute messages to promote the brand, while keeping unit interests, goals and challenges top of mind. The MC is a main liaison with the community, tasked to build relationships in the local market, and coordinate involvement in community events. Duties & Responsibilities:
- Implementation of marketing strategy to capture the overall goals and plans for marketing, based on the business unit’s overall yearly strategy
- Develop live events by using marketing team direction and applying local considerations. MC must clearly communicate plans to Ops,gaining their support
- Utilize Monday.com as a planning and project management tool, keeping it up to date so that events are planned and promoted in a timely manner
- Maintain the local facebook page. This includes posting events, making appropriate and effective promotional posts and community management
- In collaboration with the marketing team, build and send out monthly local e-blast
- Analyze sales data to support marketing strategy. Contribute to monthly marketing reports and period unit reports
- Plans external marketing events by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements; establishing contacts; developing schedules and assignments
- Acts as a community liaison, developing key relationships with leaders, influencers. The MC will strive to set up 1 to 2 in-person meetings with locals of influence per week
- Coordinate and schedule live musical entertainment
- Collaborate with various team members for marketing awareness and implementation
- Monitors expenses by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
- Will review monthly analysis of digital media and guest reactions to share with the team to include but not exclusive to: TripAdvisor, Yelp, CHB website and social media
- Keeps promotional materials ready by coordinating requirements with graphics department; inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt
- Review, share and respond to all regional CHB online customer comments
- Be on the lookout for new opportunities for CHB to positively impact the community and/or gain as stronger foothold in the marketplace
- Live the brand and be a brand ambassador
Qualifications:
- College degree in Marketing preferred
- 2+ years of experience in marketing preferred
- A combination of practical experience and education will be considered as an alternative
- Working knowledge in various marketing methodologies, including print, television, radio, social media, etc. preferred
- Proficiency in computer usage, record keeping, and filing
- Professional communication skills both verbal and written
- Strong planning and organizational skills. A self starting work ethic and the ability to multitask, prioritize and adapt to changing situations
- Microsoft Office skills and proficient in Google G Suite products
- Frequently walk and occasionally bend over, twist, kneel, climb, stoop and crouch. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally
- Ability to work in a standing or sitting position for long periods of time
- Ability to work flexible hours is required, including off shifts
