ABOUT CMFCAA

The Central Missouri Foster Care & Adoption Association is a not for profit agency that educates, supports, & advocates for foster, adoptive, & kinship children, youth, & families in central Missouri by offering services & partnering with community & governmental agencies to develop healthy & self-sufficient individuals & families.

Founded in 2007 by a former foster youth, foster parents, and adoptive parents, the CMFCAA is a community service organization that provides for the needs of foster, adoptive, kinship, and guardianship youth and families. What began as a small support group has grown into a multifaceted organization that provides direct support, education, services and advocacy to foster and adoptive families in a 24-county central Missouri region.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Marketing Specialist will join he marketing to assist with advertising and promotional efforts to spread awareness about CMFCAA's services and events, as well a share important stories and testimonials with the community. The main duties include video design, building the monthly newsletter, and preparing promotional materials and presentations to educate the public about CMFCAA. Tasks include, but are not limited to: photography and videography, graphic design for social media and print, writing and editing, and other duties.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Take professional photos and video of events

Use Adobe Premiere to create visually compelling media

Create videos for TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn

Design print and web materials for the marketing plan

Offer expert advice to develop innovate advertising, public relations, social media, and events

Writing and editing for posts, blogs, newsletters, and other materials

Maintain marketing schedules and deadlines

Attend conferences or training for professional development

Coordinate marketing projects from start to finish

Design and maintain a social media/content marketing strategy

Participates in community outreach and development

Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

• BS in Communication, Graphic Design, Marketing, Business, Media or Public Relations, or comparable field

• Possess a compelling portfolio with projects showcasing skills that are relevant to CMFCAA's visual goals

• Video and sound design experience with Adobe Premiere, Adobe Audition, Adobe After Effects

• Adobe Creative Suite experience

• Strong attention to detail

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Professional demeanor and positive attitude
