TITLE: Marketing Specialist – Content Coordinator
LOCATION: Headquarters
REPORTS TO: Vice President of Marketing
CLASSIFICATION: Full Time, Non Exempt
PAY GRADE: NE 40 ($18.05 - $30.08 per hour)
AVAILABILITY: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm

Position Summary:
Supports Pioneer’s marketing, branding, and communications strategies by assisting the Vice President of Marketing. Participates in the creation, development, and successful implementation of various campaigns, programs, projects, and events and in measuring and reporting the results.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Possesses a thorough knowledge of organization brand guidelines and assists VP - Marketing in ensuring all materials are consistent with brand and visual standards.
  • Assists with developing written concepts and ideas for advertising, marketing, business development, corporate communication materials, and campaigns including a wide variety of communications for but not limited to print, TV, radio, and the Internet along with input from other internal stakeholders and the VP - Marketing.
  • Edits, proofreads, fact-checks, and coordinates production of a variety of corporate and marketing communications materials to ensure that communications are accurate, clear, and complete; correct in terms of spelling, grammar, punctuation, and editorial style; and that they maintain a consistent tone and voice.
  • Contributes to the development of social media strategy with the VP – Marketing and Senior Marketing Specialist. Assists in content development and distribution in accordance with the social media strategy and implements techniques to drive engagement.
  • Manages and develops customer email communications through Salesforce Marketing Cloud according to content strategy to engage, retain, and convert our customers, prospects and the public; Assists in the development of the weekly internal employee newsletter.
  • Assists in the production of content for our corporate website and blog to assure that the content is fresh, accurate, and relevant by using photography, video, and web software to process changes.
  • Assists with ensuring all web content aligns with search engine optimization standards, is relevant and current with industry trends, and promotes a positive brand reputation by publishing updates to online listings a timely manner.
  • Develops concepts and storyboards for video, as it relates to the content calendar. Coordinates production of video, including equipment, room reservations, graphics, on-air talent, shooting schedule, and post-production activities. Using video editing software, edits video footage to create compelling and visually pleasing content that maintains Pioneer’s visual standards.
  • Assists in coordinating and promoting community workshops, events and seminars with appropriate business units.
  • Ensures that all print, electronic, and broadcast media is approved by the compliance department, and that such approvals are adequately documented.
  • Conducts surveys to gather information on competitor products, consumers, and employees. Document and share insights and provide ongoing analytical data to support department activities.
  • Uses Adobe Creative Suite to assist the Marketing Specialist - Graphic Designer in developing advertising and signage using visual brand standards for use in both internal and external communications as directed by the VP - Marketing.
  • Assists with the distribution of marketing supplies to the branches and other departments.
  • Participates in Pioneer sponsored events and selected marketing and customer focused events.
  • Assists the VP - Marketing with the monitoring of the results of marketing initiatives and sales trends using available analytics programs and other resources for channels such as social media, website/SEO, email communications, etc. and assists with preparing regular reports to document and communicate outcomes for internal use.
  • Analyzes results of marketing initiatives and performs regular competitor analysis to suggest and implement improvements to future campaigns, events, and advertising strategies.
  • Assists in ordering, monitoring and tracking quotes, purchases, payments, scheduling, due dates, and distribution of materials ordered from outside vendors.
  • Assists the VP-Marketing in maintaining vendor records to comply with Pioneer’s vendor management policies.
  • Maintains knowledge and understanding of Pioneer’s personnel policies and other branch and departmental procedures applicable to appropriate completion of duties.

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Graphic Design or related field is required. In lieu of a degree, four year’s recent experience in a marketing agency or in a position with experience developing and executing marketing and communications initiatives required.
  • Two years’ experience working in a marketing-focused position is preferred; experience in the banking field is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, various social media platforms, email marketing programs such as MailChimp or Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Adobe Creative Cloud software (i.e.: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
  • Preferred skills include knowledge of web coding standards such as HTML, website content management systems, analytics software such as Google Analytics, and video editing software.
  • Must have own transportation, or access to reliable transportation on short notice and valid driver's license plus ability to maintain this throughout employment.
  • Must be available to travel to branch locations or other off-site locations when needed on short (sometimes same day) notice.
  • Must be available to work occasional evenings and weekends for shows, seminars, etc. to assist with marketing needs.
