GENERAL SUMMARY

The Master Scheduler is responsible for monitoring upcoming and incoming aftermarket demand and establishing a fulfillment plan aligned with customer and market expectations. This role will need to work closely with aftermarket purchasing to strategically align open capacity with active aftermarket demand, using the entire aftermarket supply chain including Global Manufacturing Operation (GMO) sites. This role is responsible for coordinating, planning, scheduling, and supervising products throughout their fulfillment cycle, and acts as the aftermarket orders gate keeper funneling work to the appropriate fulfillment channel while reconciling performance.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

• Developing a fulfillment schedule for aftermarket for a rolling three-month fulfillment schedule; identify gaps and work with expediting team, Buyers and SDE’s to close gaps.
• Conducting daily reviews to determine the optimal fulfillment plan for new aftermarket demand.
• Ensuring fulfillment capacities are fully scheduled and planned throughout aftermarket supply chain.
• Working closely with other functional areas to drive and own KPI’s such as on-time delivery, service level, customer request date service level, past due backlog and lead time.
• Providing order administration with status and delivery information; identifying and removing obstacles that will hinder schedule attainment & performance.
• Leveling capacity, ensuring achievement of customer requirements while maximizing efficiency and minimizing inventory.
• Working closely with the Materials Manager & Site Operational Leaders to determine requirements, outline constraints and risks on fulfillment.
• Utilizing solution-based tactics/strategies to meet monthly targets.
• Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions. Serves as liaison between Sales and Operations to provide adequate communications regarding delivery status and delinquencies.
• Developing solutions plans for streamlining processes and mitigating risks so that material will flow more smoothly.
• Analyzing risks to identify solutions and bottlenecks, including forward and reverse scheduling methods.
• Keeping schedule updated to predict bottlenecks or slack periods.
• Ensuring accuracy of information, reconciling supply and demand, and validating scheduling requirements.
• Adhering to all safety rules and policies as determined by the organization.

SKILLS

• Ability to execute the weekly/monthly planning cycle, maintain long-term forecasts to improve MRP accuracy.
• Proficient understanding of safety practices within operations.
• Proficient at analyzing site capacity requirements, identifying mid- to long-term bottlenecks and discussing corrective action with site management.
• Extensive knowledge of capacity and materials planning.
• Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
• A self-starter who is solutions driven with the ability to produce results.
• Strong attention to detail.
• A proactive approach and continuous improvement mindset.
• Strong computer skills including MS Office, with excellent Excel skills.
• The ideal candidate will have experience building a scheduling system from the ground up.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• A bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Project Management or other relevant field required.
• 3 years of experience in planning and scheduling in a manufacturing environment in an ETO setting.
• 2 years of SAP experience desired.
• APICS certification preferred.
