HERFF JONES, Artist – Indianapolis, IN

Your Opportunity:
The Herff Jones Fine Paper Team is looking for a Material Handler Coordinator to join our team in Indianapolis, IN.
This is a Regular Fulltime position with benefit eligibility including, medical, dental, vision, life, 401(k), paid time off, and additional voluntary benefits.
Shift: Standard Shift is 6:00am - 4:45pm Monday through Thursday
Hours fluctuate to ten- and twelve-hour days if needed during peak season including Saturdays and Sundays if necessary due to customer demand.

Here's How You’ll Make an Impact:
As the material handler associate you will play an integral role in shaping the future of Herff Jones. Above all else you'll be an agent for change as we launch multiple new initiatives to streamline how we do business and increase the quality of product we deliver to our clients. In this role you will have regular interaction with department leaders and key decision makers throughout the organization.

What We Want You to Accomplish:
First 30 Days:
Working knowledge of ERP and Inventory System
Train and understand the transactions needed to perform daily tasks
Create, implement, and maintain inventory within the department and ERP system

First 60 days:
Cycle count material to maintain accurate inventory levels within the department

First 90 Days:
Assist with standardizing department operations to achieve transaction accuracy levels

What You’ll Be Doing on a Daily Basis:
Receive material into designated departments and steps of the manufacturing process
Use ERP systems to perform transactions
Ensure all product is flowing in and out of the departments as needed
Will be responsible for physically moving product within the departments
Perform routine verifications of system transactions to ensure accurate transactions
Report transaction discrepancies and provide a reconciliation plan.

What You’ll Bring to the Table:
High School or GED required.
Prior experience in a warehouse and inventory control role.
Previous success leading lean operations to include training and coaching front-line associates.
Multiple examples of lean projects, initiated successfully, that resulted in cost and time savings.
Proven success to effectively communicate (listening, writing and verbal) to multiple teams, ensuring the delivery of the message stays consistent.
A strong sense of urgency and desire to exceed expectations.
Ability to maintain a positive attitude in an extremely fast-paced environment.
Moderate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office (specifically Excel) and learning new systems/technology with understanding some work is processed manually.
Demonstrated success managing multiple processes and tasks.

Physical Activities: Daily activity includes but is not limited to:
Lifting, carrying, sitting, grasping, reaching, standing, kneeling, walking, bending, twisting.
Reading, communication, simple math.
Standing on a fatigue mat in a specific area throughout a 10 hour+ shift.
Be able to regularly lift/move up to 50lbs.
Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to above moderate.
