Job description
Material Handler
This is a full-time position located in the Fort Mill area. Weekends and overtime as needed.
As material handler you will maintain and dstribution of products by pulling orders frominventory dlivering prodution materials and supplies staging finishing product .
- Verify shipments against purchase orders and examine upon arrival.
- Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks, checking in merchandise.
- Maintain record keeping systems and mark material with part numbers, date and lot codes, revisions, etc.
- Develop and implement shipping and receiving procedures.
- Operates lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas.
- Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.
- Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
- Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for salespeople and customer traffic.
- Sweep, dust, and mop. Always organize warehouse and work area for orderliness.
- Wear the proper safety equipment.
Qualifications
- Must have at least 1 year forklift experience.
Compensation and Benefits
- $17.00 per hour (pay based on experience)
- 1st and 2nd Shift available
- Weekly pay every Friday
