Material Technical Screener

Tridant Solutions is seeking a Material Tech Screener to support procurement purchase requests and purchase request processing for all departments at NSWC Port Hueneme, California. Please note that employment with our company is contingent upon the candidate's successful background check and drug screening.

DUTIES:
  • Review all procurement purchase requests utilizing the Procurement Request Tool (PRT) or a designated replacement for that tool.
  • Review technical specifications.
  • Conduct market research to obtain price quotes and information regarding interested vendors for open purchases and document in the appropriate system to include E-retrograde Management System (e-RMS), Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), DoD E-Mall, OneTouch, GSA Advantage & Haystack as appropriate to purchase type.
  • Document market research results in the purchase request electronic database.
  • Provide information that government personnel may use to identify suggested sources.
  • Decisions regarding what contracting method will be used, what sourcing method will be used (e.g. supply system vs contract) and what vendors will be solicited will be made by government employees.
  • Provide information to aid government employees in making those decisions.
  • Research, request, and document the Unique Material Master (UMM) identification number for all material not found in US Navy supply system.
  • Daily reporting requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experience with Navy Systems (ERP, eRMS, etc.)
  • Ability to operate the Microsoft Suite program including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of the Internet with the ability to navigate, locate, download information, and utilize online websites for data research, data entry, data download, and data upload.
  • Clear and effective oral/written communication skills in the English language.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Ability to document research findings clearly and recommend supply sources so that purchase request approvers have the information they need to approve requests.
  • Attendance at all meetings.
  • Active secret clearance.
  • Must be able to read, speak, and write in English,
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
