The Role at a Glance:

The Materials Administrator will provide support to international import and export operations, including shipment logistics, documentation, and customer service. The ideal candidate will also conduct audits to verify physical shipments accuracy using bills of lading, invoices, and other documents

What You'll be doing:

  • Prepares, distributes or processes documentation to ensure required documents are in place and correct.
  • Assure positive internal and external customer service experience including directly communicating with customers and company stakeholders to create a superior customer experience.
  • Coordinates and communicates with customers, agents, vendors, and shippers to maintain process flows and resolve issues
  • Accurately package, label and weigh items to be shipped and ensure proper shipment method and shipping charges are maintained utilizing established procedures with a focus on accuracy and a process improvement.
  • Identifies and records any discrepancies.
  • Book air freight, ocean freight, and long-haul trucking
  • Prepare detailed and accurate invoices to accompany shipments and ensure all items are packaged and shipped adhering to PSI company standards, data retention policy, and SOX compliance.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures including the use of personal protective equipment and navigating the plant with alert behavior.
  • Provide on call support during off hours as needed (including evenings and weekends)
  • All other duties as assigned by management.

Must-Haves:

  • High School Diploma/ GED; or equivalent combination of education and administrative experience
  • Tech savvy with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, and ERP knowledge (Epicor preferred)
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking, problem solving, and attention to detail, ideally applied to customer-facing complex operations

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Previous office or administrative support experience
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and/or inventory control systems in a manufacturing environment a plus
  • Previous experience with SOX controls or working for a publicly traded company
  • Must be self-directed, motivated and detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
  • Work well within a team environment and across multiple departments
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
