Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Supv/Manager ASC Materials Management:
The Materials Management Technician is responsible for receiving, shipping (returns and repairs), unpacking, picking, staging, storage, and receipt verification, of inventory for the facility location. The Materials Management Technician maintains a high standard of accuracy and interacts frequently with Lawson (Lawson MMIS) by the matching of all packing slips to purchase orders,and determining specific destinations of and special instructions for delivered inventory.
In the absence of other team members, the Materials Management Technician may be required to perform receiving and/or linen distribution and offer support to the ASC Management department.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
The Materials Management Technician is customer-focused who develops strong working relationships with clinical managers in order to ensure:
  • Reduce SCM burden on Kelsey-Seybold clinicians so that clinicians focus on patient care
  • Minimize stockouts
  • Identify performance improvement opportunities

Salary Range: $39,915.50 to 47,773.00
(Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Experience

6 Months work experience
B.

  • Knowledge of medical and non-medical supplies
  • Relevant experience in a warehouse or storeroom environment recommended, preferably one in which an electronic inventory management system was used

Special Skills

A.

  • Must speak and understand English
  • Basic mathematical and communication skills
  • Must be able to lift up to fifty pounds (50 lbs.) and remain on feet for 80% of work time.
  • Must be able push/pull 400 lbs. using flatbed (manual); 800 lbs. using pallet jack (manual)
  • Must be able to walk for most of the day
  • Must be able to deal tactfully with SCM and clinical staff members
