Job description
Saint Monica Preparatory is a parish, coeducational TK-12 day school, a ministry of St. Monica Catholic Community in the heart of Santa Monica. SM Prep has an over 90-year history of educating students for a life of faithful citizenship.
- Develop and execute teaching strategies and assessments in line with a project-based learning framework.
- Work with students with varying learning needs.
- Collaborate with other teachers and administrators through effective, timely and pertinent communication.
- Advocate for students’ needs to teachers and administrators.
- Contribute to the school and classroom community
Job Skills and Qualifications
- Flexibility to teach a range of classes, including Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, or Pre-Calc
- Familiarity with project-based learning is preferred, but not required
- Willingness to learn common educational technology
Requirements
Minimum requirement – BA degree
Special consideration will be given to applicants with an advanced degree in education or in the subject matter field
