Line Mechanic

$3000 sign-on bonus

Starting wage of $27.96/hour with shift differential available

Training Hours: 6 am – 6 pm; Shift: 6 pm – 6 am

What you’ll do:

• Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and modify mechanical systems
• Operate and maintain the can line
• Using precision measuring tools, you'll work with close tolerances up to .00010
• Monitor the quality of the product and line efficiency
• Suggest ways to improve work area, safety, quality, cost, and productivity

You’ll be a great fit if you enjoy:

• Diagnosing problems and making the necessary repairs
• Partnering with other mechanics and teammates as well as working on your own
• A 12-hour per day/night 4-on/4-off schedule, with additional overtime available

We need you to have:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalency
• 2+ years of experience as an industrial mechanic
• Desire to operate and maintain Silgan's can lines by performing and documenting quality checks and measurements
