Village Green is a locally owned company with office locations in Saint Paul, New Brighton, Brooklyn Park, and Savage
Winter Hours: Very flexible schedule (40 hours per week).
Spring to Fall Hours: Flexible can be four 10's or five 8's. The shift however is not a 7:00a-3:30p position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES for our Mechanic :
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES for our Mechanic :
- Maintain and repair company equipment and vehicles. Our fleet includes: Pickup trucks, dump trucks, semi-trucks, small engine equipment, skid loaders, front end loaders, excavators, , and trailers
- Knowledgeable in brakes, suspension, cooling, light engine work, and transmission
- Drivability assessment – diagnose sounds, check engine lights, sensors
- Ability to trouble shoot hydraulic mechanisms such as plows and dump trucks
- Ability to read and interpret diagrams and instructions for repair and maintenance of equipment
- Demonstrates ability to problem solve electrical issues, 12/24V systems
- Metal Fab/Welding; wire feed and stick
- Performs preventive maintenance inspections
- Follows organization define process of where and how to maintain detailed, high quality recording of work and repairs
- Demonstrates timely and effective communication- verbal, non-verbal, and written
- Communication and behavior are consistent with company values
- Demonstrates high quality decision making in a fast paced and quickly evolving environment
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
Required
- 3 + years of mechanic experience
- Valid driver license with a clean driving record
- Own your basic tools – company to provide specialty tools
- Must be able to pass a pre- employment drug test.
Preferred
- Class A license (CDL)
