We are looking for a skilled and collaborative Mechanical Designer to join our team in Bedford, NH. The Mechanical Designer will work closely with a team of engineers supporting natural gas, renewable natural gas, and hydrogen projects. This is a fast-paced and dynamic position, with opportunities to be challenged, contribute to project outcomes, interact routinely with a collaborative team, and grow professionally.

Essential Functions-What You Will Do

• Support design and documentation of projects in the Natural Gas Sector; focusing on metering, regulation, liquefied natural gas, renewable natural gas and compressed natural gas facilities.
• Prepare process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
• Prepare piping design drawings and equipment general arrangement drawings.
• Prepare 3D piping models with the ability to generate orthographic and isometric views to support overall design package requirements.
• Develop Bill of Materials to accompany piping drawings.
• Develop as-built drawing packages.
• Perform site visits to utility and industrial client facilities to review existing process piping and equipment layouts or proposed locations of future installations.

Competencies-What We Are Looking For

• Minimum of two (2) to four (4) years relevant experience and an AS degree in Computer Aided Design or an Engineering Design field.
• Experience walking down existing systems and working within a facility setting.
• Solid understanding of Process Design.
• Strong experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D software.
• Strong organizational and time management skills combined with the flexibility to work with shifting priorities.
• Client-service orientation with the ability to anticipate needs and deliver to meet expectations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Work well as a team member, with a collaborative communication style.
