TITLE: Mechanical Engineering

COMP: $80,000

LOCATION: Mitchell, Indiana

Pinnacle Partners is assisting our client in the search for a Mechanical Engineer.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Research, design, and develop tools, machines, controls, equipment, and mechanical processes.
• Oversees production, installation, operation, maintenance, repair, and development of new, modified and/or existing systems.
• Ensures completion and integrity of all structural and mechanical analysis and calculations.
• Reviews existing products and recommends/makes design improvements to meet objectives for improved function/capacity, improved manufacturability, conversion to new technology, reduced lead time and cost.
• Researches and develops new products to meet market needs, which includes working with Sales to develop specifications, creating design concepts, leading design reviews, performing calculations, specifying materials, and performing/overseeing development of drawings and BOMs.
• Performs project design work on critical equipment or special designs
• Performs mechanical product testing including but not limited to development of test specifications, test execution and performance documentation for Sales/Applications
• Creates and maintains all drawing and BOM structure/standards for mechanical designs to ANSI standards, as well as applies applicable tolerance standards required to meet quality requirements.
• Develop project and department budgets.

MUST HAVE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• Solidworks and AutoCAD 2D Knowledge.
• Industrial electrical, control, and mechanical aptitude.
• ERP system (Epicor) preferred.
• Material handling systems design familiarity preferred.
