Our Royal Vista Assisted Living and Memory Care Caregivers;

• Will build a genuine connection with our residents.
• Are responsible for meeting individual needs of each resident as represented on the individual resident care plans.
• Performs routine care and assists residents with all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Provides exceptional ADL care assistance including bathing, dressing, toileting and hygiene assistance.
• Coordinates and prioritize resident care activities. Follows all infection control guidelines during the performance of routine resident care.
• Practices safe lifting/transfer techniques to minimize risk of resident and/or employee injuries.
• Monitors and reports changes in resident’s condition during the performance of routine resident care.
• Close monitoring of residents to prevent elopement.
• Monitors fall risk of residents.
• Ensures adequate fluid and nutritional intake of resident
• Assists in serving meals prepared by the kitchen.
• Promotes and encourages mental and social stimulation through activities and social interactions with residents.
• Responsible for charting daily resident care and ADLs.
• Maintains resident room in an organized manner
• Reports any furniture or equipment failure promptly for repair.
• Abides by RCFE Title 22 regulations and all Royal Vista Policies and Procedures.
• MUST report actual or suspected physical abuse, abandonment, isolation, financial abuse, or neglect which is observed, evident, or described.
• Ensures Resident Rights are protected and well respected as required by CCLD and Royal Vista Policies.
• Performs all other duties and tasks as assigned

The ideal candidate will possess

· Proven work experience as a Caregiver/ HHA (preferred)

· A valid First Aid/CPR Certification (preferred)

· Experience caring for residents with physical and mental disabilities.

· Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and Influenza (flu) vaccine (can opt out)

· High School diploma or equivalent (preferred)

· Compassion, patience, and excellent communication skills

· Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload.

· Displays customer service principles for daily interaction with residents, visitors and family members.

· Embraces teamwork

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to understand and carry out both written and verbal directions.

· Must have compassion for residents and family members, with an understanding of the progressive and irreversible nature of their disease.

· Must attain a criminal clearance from US Department of Justice & FBI.

· Must be at least 18 years old as required by Title 22 RCFE Regulations.

· Must undergo a health screening, which might include a chest x-ray or an intradermal examination to test for Tuberculosis, performed by a physician not more than six (6) months.

· Provides satisfactory proof of identity and legal authority to work in the United States.
