MED TECH.

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: SUPERVISOR-IN-CHARGE (SIC)
JOB SUMMARY
Administers and records medication and treatments as ordered by Physicians. Responsible for reordering medication. The Med. Tech. also helps with all needed services for the residents.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
1 . Responsible for the timely administering of residents meds. and treatments.

• Responsible for making sure that meds. are recorded properly which includes the MAR, the Physicians order sheet, and a signed Physicians Order.
• Verifiesthat the controlled substance count is correct each shift
• Reorders medication as needed.
• Checks in medication brought in by Pharmacy or responsible party.
• Makes sure thatmedications that have been outdated or discountinued have been removed from the med. carts and sent back to Pharmacy using the appropriate forms.
• Assuring that the medication room and the medication carts are kept clean and neat.
• Assist resident care attendants with providing all needed services for the residents.
• Helps orientate and admit new residents.

1 0. Applies home's accidents, fire safety, and emergency procedures for protection of the residents.

1 1 . Performs miscellaneous tasks assigned or approved by the Director of Resident Care or the Administrator.
EDUCATION TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
High school Diploma or GED Program Certificates required. Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant.

ACCOUNTABILITY

The proper and timely administration of Residents medications and treatments.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour
