Job description
Our client, a small hospital located just over an hour from Lexington and Louisville, KY, has a need for MT/MLTs to join their team. They are looking for a Generalist for a Day Shift Weekends Fri, Sat, Sun from 7a-7p position as well as an Evening Shift position. They are offering a $10,000 sign on bonus and will consider new grads as well. Candidates MUST be certified by ASCP or AMT as a Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician.
Prompt, accurate performance and reporting of selected clinical laboratory tests for patients aged neonatal/infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric (65 years or greater). Performs selected testing according to policies and procedures and uses independent judgment.
This position is eligible for a $10000 sign on bonus, half of which is paid after successful completion of 90 days and half of which is paid after successful completion of a year.
Job Requirements
Completion of two (2) years of college and certification as an MLT (ASCP) or board-eligible. Must present diploma or official transcripts from school. Strong mathematical skills. Knowledge of clinical laboratory testing theory. Ability to effectively communicate with staff, patients, physicians, and visitors. Ability to recognize and respond to emergency situations.
