Job Description:

At CoBank, our Media Production Manager leads the conception and production of audio and video communications to support internal and external corporate communications programs. Collaborates with customers, including management, subject matter experts, script writers, designers and staff throughout the organization to establish and implement an audio and video plan and strategy. Works in partnership with management to leverage audio and video for internal and external communications. Ensures a consistent and meaningful voice, look and feel to audiovisual productions. Manages onsite production studio and relationships with third party vendors.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages audiovisual pre-production, production and post-production for the bank. Coordinates all aspects of audio/video production, including storyboarding, scripting, recording, videography, voice talent, sourcing of media and stock footage, music and sound effects, graphics, animation, and captions, from concept through approvals and multi-channel delivery, utilizing onsite studio or alternate locations onsite, offsite and virtually.
  • Coordinates video team assignments and support, and balances resources (in-house, freelance, agency) in order to meet deadlines and achieve desired quality and scale. Leads media projects from start to finish.
  • Manages cross-departmental processes and relationships, and collaborates with stakeholders and internal teams in the production of impactful audiovisual content that achieves business and strategic goals and supports communications objectives.
  • Produces monthly podcasts in collaboration with subject matter experts. Records, edits, mixes and delivers professional-quality audio programs.
  • Interprets business requirements and creates videos to support a variety of needs including knowledge sharing, training, corporate citizenship, events, and social media.
  • Manages onsite production studio. Transports, sets up, and operates production equipment, including camera, audio, lighting and teleprompter equipment for studio and field productions.
  • Edits audio and video to produce professional recorded content. Uses music and graphics design to help communicate a story.
  • Completes preventive maintenance on video and audio production equipment.
  • Maintains branding, typography and other company-related graphics accurately and appropriately in video content.
  • Ensures that all music, stock imagery/footage and media used in productions is compliant with rights holder agreements.
  • Archives media collection.
  • Identifies best practices and opportunities for improvement to processes, workflow and operations.
  • Identifies and develops metrics for audiovisual production and measurements for success.
  • Participates in special projects, and performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Digital Communications, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism or relevant discipline.
  • Six (6) or more years of experience in marketing, communications or other relevant discipline, with three (3) or more years in professional video production, preferably in a corporate business environment; or an appropriate combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills, with proven accomplishments in audio and video.
  • Project management skills, including the ability to manage workload and prioritize and communicate tasks for multiple projects across the team and for other stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with video production and editing tools and production equipment, including Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects and Audition.
  • Familiarity with online delivery platforms including video, podcast and social media delivery.
  • Working knowledge of copyright and media rights as they pertain to audiovisual production and the use of media in audiovisual content.
  • Project management skills, including the ability to manage workload and prioritize and communicate tasks for multiple projects across the team and for other stakeholders.
  • Strong time management and problem solving skills, with an ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks under deadline pressure, and work effectively in a changing and sometimes ambiguous environment.
  • Ability to think strategically, proactively offer solutions and provide practical knowledge to execute tactically.
  • Strong interpersonal and consultative skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and build and maintain effective relationships with all levels of executives, internal team members and customers.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint).
  • Availability for occasional work outside normal business hours.
  • Availability for occasional travel.

Compensation Information

  • Estimated Base Salary Range: $75,000-$100,000
  • Target short-term incentive opportunity: 11%
