Job description

As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing support to the doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner. You must pass a drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and document basic medical history and vitals
• Update medical records
• Assist during medical examinations
• Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
• Collecting specimens for testing, urine, covid swabs, injections, etc.

Skills

• Experience as a medical assistant or in a medical training program
• Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Social perceptiveness and service oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and patient management EMR software
• Experience preferred with EKG's, taking vitals, injections, specimen collections, etc.
• Degree in Medical Assisting, EMT, Paramedics, Nursing students or in a Medical Assisting program.

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)
• Vital signs: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• BLS Certification (Preferred)
• Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
