We currently have 3 Full-Time/Temporary opportunities on the Day shift for Medical Assistants in the Occupational Health department. This will be about an 8 week assignment starting around September 15, 2021 and going through October 29, 2021.

Minimum qualifications include:

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program, required
• High School Diploma or equivalent, required
• Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association, required
• Minimum of one-year experience as a medical assistant, preferred
• Previous Occupational health experience, preferred
• State license for performance of venipunctures and skin puncture (Phlebotomy), preferred

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collects and updates employee records such as; immunizations given, post-hire titer results, and employee occupational exposures into a medical records database system.
• Describes and instructs patients regarding forms, medical history, testing requirements, examinations, preparations and time requirements.
• Follows up on no-shows for TB skin testing, and other scheduled tests and vaccinations by submitting memos to those requiring tests and immunizations and maintaining proper documentation.
• Monitors and administers all TB screening requirements and immunizations for hospital employees, contracts, volunteers and AUSD.
