Position Overview

Medical Office Assistant- This person assists in the provision of comprehensive health care as a member of a team of health care professionals. This individual functions in all areas of the office setting this includes both clinical and front desk duties.

Licensed Practical Nurse/ Registered Nurse- Promotes and restores patients health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families.

Location and Hours of Position

PHN Altoona Behavioral Health Center. The general office hours for this position is 8:30 AM-5:00 PM (with some evening hours required).

Education/Experience Requirements

Graduate of an approved school Medical Office Assistant and/or two years experience in a clinical setting

OR

Graduate of an approved school ofnursingand two years experience in Behavioral Health (preferred)

Previous venipuncture experience

Previous injection experience

Previous experience in calling prescriptions under a providers direction
