We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Medical Office Coordinator/Medical Assistant or Nurse to join our internal medicine team. The ideal candidate enjoys working with patients in a very service-oriented private concierge internal medicine environment and is able to multitask effectively and be comfortable working directly with the physician and other staff with a team-minded approach. Responsibilities:

Front Office:

  • Work in a doctor's office environment for concierge physician and covering NP
  • Responsively answering phones; entering messages in Asana worflow platform
  • Assist with scheduling patients
  • Entering medical assistant/nursing notes and vaccinations in eMDs (ourEMR)
  • Checking electronic faxes and emails and texts
  • Electronic drug refills
  • Scanning documents within eMR for other doctors/radiology
  • Obtaining records for new and existing patients for annual physicals
  • Obtaining authorizations for radiography and other tests/procedures.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Keep medical treatment logs, monitor patients' reactions to medication and treatments, and notify a doctor of any changes in patient condition.
  • Communicating with covering physicians/NP regarding patient's acute medical problems.
  • Communicate with patients, doctors, and other medical staff members.
  • Willing to cross train with other staff members in the office

Back Office:

  • Conduct vitals including blood pressure/height/weight/temperature/O2 sat at each visit
  • Conduct venipuncture and preparation for office visits and annual physicals - special preparation for Cleveland Heart Lab
  • Performing EKG/spirometry/vision/hearing testing for acute visits and annual physicals
  • Ordering supplies for the lab and office
  • Administering vaccines (pneumovax/TdTdap/Influenza/MMR/Vitamin B12 etc.)
  • Keeping record of vaccines given and reordering as indicated
  • Maintaining the refrigerator temperature for safety.
  • Keeping all clinical areas clean and stocked after each visit.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
