What you will be working on:

• Audits all charts prior to any office/telehealth appointment to ensure all records are complete prior to patient’s appointment
• Ensures all referrals, lab and diagnostic orders are linked to the patient’s results in EMR
• Contacts patient prior to their appointment to confirm any incomplete results, prior to the appointment
• Processes, scans and enters all paper medical records into EMR
• Creates charge entry and processes any payments for medical records release
• Other administrative duties as assigned

What you’ll know:

• A successful applicant must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• High School Diploma or GED required, certification from medical records program preferred
• Prior experience working in medical office, preferably in an ASC or GI Suite
• Working knowledge of charge entry, medical terminology, HIPPA regulations
• Work independently as well as a in a team environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skillswith patients, co-workers and providers
• Computer proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Must be a team-player with excellent multi-tasking and interpersonal skills
• Compassion for patient needs and a high degree of professionalism
