Job description
The Membership Associate works on prospective member recruitment efforts and is often a primary contact for organizations interested in joining CAPC. The candidate must accurately speak to CAPC benefits, pricing structure, and the membership application process both verbally and in writing. The Membership Associate is an integral part of the department’s efforts to grow CAPC’s membership network and the revenue received from new memberships. This position reports directly to the Senior Membership Manager.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Triage all membership inquiries from a variety of sources and accurately decide on the appropriate response and person to respond.
- Oversee contract negotiations with potential new single entity members, engaging the Senior Membership Manager as appropriate, to address the needs of members while pricing fees in accordance with CAPC’s pricing structure and membership vision.
- Manage the membership application process for non-health system members, including ensuring the accuracy of relevant data, sending the membership agreement, and managing timely invoicing.
- Handle special requests from prospective and active members in a timely and professional manner, engaging other CAPC staff as needed.
- Work closely with the Senior Membership Manager to ensure all inquiries are handled efficiently.
- Proactively follow-up with all non-health system leads via phone calls.
- Actively manage relationships with Association members to ensure compliance with their CAPC membership promotion commitment.
- Meticulously record prospect and member interactions in Salesforce, CAPC’s CMS.
- Manage special projects as assigned.
- Provide administrative backup support to the Member Relations and Customer Service team members as needed.
- Represent CAPC at industry events through exhibiting and direct sales activities.
Qualifications
- Ability to effectively communicate in a team-oriented environment and function as a liaison between departments.
- Knowledge of the health care field preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage high volumes and multiple projects.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including poise with important members.
- Thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
- Demonstrated experience working with large databases. Experience with Salesforce a plus.
- Exceptional writing and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of entire Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to quickly learn the depth of CAPC’s content, new technologies, and internal processes.
- Ability to travel occasionally.
