The Membership Associate is responsible for handling all customer service transactions at the Member Service Desk, including answering phones, meeting and greeting customers, giving tours, selling memberships, registering members for programs, making reservations, and assisting with projects as required by management staff. At times, staff will be required to work with minimal supervision and must be able to multitask and troubleshoot.

Shifts are typically 3 - 5 hours in length and may total 8 to 20 hours/week, depending on availability. This department requires availability for a weekend rotation. Once confirmed, schedule is set and will stay the same for ease of planning. Opportunities are given to pick up additional hours, outside of the regular schedule and staff can cross train in other departments.

• All staff must complete required trainings for CPR/AED, First Aid, Emergency Response and Child Abuse Prevention, in a timely manner. Paid training is provided.

Applicant must be at least 18 years of age, have excellent customer service skills, self-motivated, detail orientated and work well with all ages. Must have experience in working with computers including Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred candidates will have previous customer service experience and have an understanding of the YMCA mission and values. Bilingual abilities are a plus!
