Please note the schedule for this role is Tuesday-Saturday.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Serve as the primary clinician for each client, in collaboration and with the support of with team members including other clinicians, our psychiatrist, physician, neuropsychologist, nursing and milieu staff.
• Carry a caseload of clients tailored to the number of hours worked per week.
• Attend weekly staff meetings for collaboration and in support of client care.
• Attend weekly individual case consultation with the Clinical Director.
• Develop initial treatment plans and update these on a monthly basis.
• Maintain standard documentation (i.e., individual progress notes, group notes, discharge summaries) in a timely manner.
• Facilitate DBT, process and educational groups.
• Weekly communication with family members and outside professionals/referents as indicated.
• Ability to apply good time management and organizational skills and to work both independently and as a member of a dynamic team.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of a Masters Degree required
• Licensed PsyD, LMFT or LCSW preferred
• Previous experience working with primary Substance Use Disorders.
• Previous experience within a residential or PHP setting (preferred).
• Additional preferred skills include knowledge of/familiarity with Family Systems therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), EMDR, and/or Somatic Experiencing (SE) therapy.
• Familiarity with varying DSM 5 mental health diagnoses, including Personality Disorders and severe mental illnesses (i.e., Bipolar Disorder, Psychosis).
• Familiarity with 12-step models of recovery (AA, CA, NA, Al-Anon, etc.) as well as non-12 step models of recovery (SMART or Recovery Dharma
• Proficient computer skills and ability use various software programs
• Under current California mandates, must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and boosted (if eligible), or have a valid medical or religious exemption.
