Baird’s M&A Group tracks the state of the M&A and capital markets, analyzes middle-market M&A activity and trends across geographic markets, and identifies industry consolidation trends. These insights are published in reports targeted at private and public companies, lawyers, accountants, and private equity investors. The group also regularly produces a wide range of reports that review market trends and M&A activity in various industry sectors. The goal of Baird’s M&A Group is to raise the visibility of Robert W. Baird as an expert participant within the M&A market, increase the firm’s media exposure, and assist industry bankers in corporate presentations and relationships.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Mergers & Acquisitions Market Analytics Specialist.
As a Mergers & Acquisitions Market Analytics Specialist, you will:

Work closely with the Director of M&A Research and provide assistance to other investment banking industry teams

Be responsible for compiling and analyzing data, assisting in the publication of various internal and external reports, and preparing presentations

Contribute to Baird’s embedded leverage process and debt advisory business by working with the Capital Advisory team as well as deal teams in facilitating communications with prospective lenders and issuers regarding market conditions and potential deal financing terms

Bachelor’s degree; concentration in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field preferred

Highly analytical and possess the ability to write in a clear, concise, business manner as well as have good presentation and organization skills

Must have a solid background in accounting and finance, strong computer skills, and be highly proficient in Excel spreadsheet analysis, graphing, and PowerPoint

Proficiency with databases such as Capital IQ, Dealogic and Bloomberg is preferred

Familiarity with Power BI software a plus
