Metadata Documentation Coordinator
Job description
This position involves documentation of data-related collection criteria, methodology, standards, organization of code libraries, and linkages between datasets. Also, this position provides information to assist Louisiana Medicaid in decision-making.
Provides data documentation and management to make data more accessible and understandable by business and data analyst;
Documents and catalogs queries and subroutines, including recurring and routine data request;
Researches and documents existing data-related systems and processes;
Documents data-related processes and requirements obtained through research and/or information from stakeholders;
Documents rule impacts on data to create a reference of how the data changes over time;
Seeks continuous improvement of SAS programming and general analytic skills;
Develops professional presentations;
Participates in disaster relief activities at the request of the Louisiana Medicaid Program, LDH or ULM; and
Performs other duties as assigned
Research publications or documentation of equivalent experience is required. Programming experience is preferred. An advanced degree is preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Technical writing experience is preferred. Self-motivation, curiosity, mission-related passion, and the ability to work on a team or individually with minimal supervision are required. Flexibility and the ability to organize and multitask are necessary. Knowledge of health insurance claims is highly preferred. Demonstration of programming and/or analytical skills is required.
