FABRICATOR

JOB TITLE: Fabricator

DEPARTMENT: Shop

TRAVEL: No travel

Job Responsibilities

POSITION DESCRIPTION: This position requires fabricating and welding equipment per Engineering specifications. You will be responsible for using fabricating machines to do many different functions as follows in the CORE RESPONSIBILITIES.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

- Cut and form metal

- Read and interpret fabrication blueprints

- Weld in compliance to COGAR WELDING STANDARDS

- Clean and prepare elements for assembly

- Layout, fabricate, weld, and assemble per Supervisor’s directions

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills are required

- Good communication skills

- Ability to prioritize tasks

- Self-motivated

- Planning / Organizing skills

- Problem solving skills

- Experienced in welding; must be able to pass MiG welding certification test

- Experienced with torch work

- Ability to read and interpret fabrication blueprints

- Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes

FABRICATOR / Welder 1st. class: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour

- Operates and adjust machines for fabricating / metal prep

- Perform standard and repetitive fabrication operations

- Have basic tools to work with

- Having entry level knowledge in operation of machines to cut and blend metal plates

- Have the ability to follow written instructions as well as reading blueprints

FABRICATOR 2nd. class: $20.00 to $24.00 per hour

· Must have at least 2+ years of experience performing or knowledge of the following,

- Responsible for setting up, adjusting, and checking machines for the day’s production

- Ability to perform progressive operations for fabricating

- Ability to operate and adjust the equipment to the standards and specifications

- Having the knowledge of the techniques and methods based on intermediate fabrication

- Have the ability to follow written instructions as well as reading blueprints

FABRICATOR 3rd. class: $24 to $26 per hour

· Must have at least 5+ years of performing or knowledge of the following,

- Broad knowledge of fabrication and techniques with machines

- Perform series of progressive fabricating operations

- Ability to work on more than one machine at a time

- Having a high degree of skill in fabricating parts to the exact specification requirements

- Checking specification to parts

- Have the ability to follow written instructions as well as reading blueprints

- Ability to lead a crew on a job and keep them focused and on task of the day

- Ability to organize parts and plan your day without

Compensation:

Health Insurance

· $15 co-pay for primary care physician visit 80/20 everywhere else

Retirement

· 401k offered by company to all employees after 1 year of employment.

· Can make pre-tax or post-tax contributions to the retirement plan.

Vacation

· After 1 year of employment, you get 2 weeks of paid vacation per year

· After 90 days you get 5 (five) personal days to be used at any time. This resets annually.

· 7 (seven) paid holidays per year.
