Overview:
This position is within the Air Force Division of SPA, and will fall under the Air Force Engineering and Analysis Group (AFEA) which provides analytic support to various programs across a diverse clientele that extends across the Joint Staff, HQ USAF, Air Combat Command, Air Force Material Command, and the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center. AFEA provides a wide range of analysis to include supporting resource allocation decisions, wargaming, targeting, courseware management, Integrated and Air Missile Defense, Program Office Support, and analysis of military operations and joint training assessments Responsibilities:
The Sentinel Transition and Deployment area is a critical function of the program. Daily responsibilities include supporting the Sentinel Government and Support Contract team in the creation, review, and assessment of documents, briefings, Deployment modeling analysis, and various other tasks in support of the transition from Minuteman III to Sentinel. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Microsoft Office programs; ensure accuracy and completeness of content, recommending corrective actions and providing support to programmatic and technical briefings, reports and other related documentation; and be able to facilitate and execute internal and external meetings to support the program and represent Transition and Deployment in working groups with government customers and outside agencies. SPA has an immediate need for a Military Operations Analyst to support the on-site SPA Sentinel team at Hill AFB, UT.
The Sentinel Transition and Deployment area is a critical function of the program. Daily responsibilities include supporting the Sentinel Government and Support Contract team in the creation, review, and assessment of documents, briefings, Deployment modeling analysis, and various other tasks in support of the transition from Minuteman III to Sentinel. Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering, Business, Logistics, or equivalent experience in the applicable domain
- 10+ years of relevant work experience
- Must have current (within last 6 years) Secret security clearance or higher and be able to obtain Top Secret and SAP clearances within a reasonable timeframe
- Experience in coordinating, leading, and executing tasks and activities for large government defense acquisition programs
- Experience working in a collaborative, multi-discipline team environment, able to define strategic goals, plan operations, and implement tactical customer guidance with minimal day-to-day guidance
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with ICBM or other missile systems, including weapon system sustainment, logistics, maintenance, or operations activities
- Familiarity with Agile Project Management and experience using Confluence and Jira
- Certification or involvement with data analysis and process improvement
- Self-motivated with excellent verbal and written communications skills in addition to sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with customer and company personnel
