As a part-time Ministry Assistant, you serve as the frontline to the Early Childhood ministry, directly interfacing, pastoring, and supporting our VC Kids, leaders, and families. Partnering with the Early Childhood pastor, you will coordinate and execute weekend programming, ministry projects and events at the Cooper Road Campus.

- You are highly relational assisting parents, caregivers, and families in the discipleship of their small children
- Administratively gifted providing a wide variety of support to the Early Childhood Pastor
- Passionate about serving others
- You have the gift of developing a dynamic worship arts experience for children, introducing them to Jesus through their five senses
- Creative, developing, and leading relevant programming supporting early childhood development and the beginning stages of faith formation
In this role you will:
Support Ministry Projects and Events
- Develop an understanding of the Grow Strategy and curriculum scope and sequence to empower leaders and disciple young children
- Research early childhood development as it pertains to spiritual formation and family resources
- Recruit, train, and deploy leadership teams to support weekend programming, special projects and events
- Participate in baby dedication ceremonies assisting with classes, applications, communication and operational details
- Create a variety of relevant materials in support of elementary students and today’s family, by means of a variety of social media platforms and print materials
Manage General Administration
- Participate in daily operations of Early Childhood Team, such as ministry communications, meeting attendance, scheduling, reports, proofreading, research, etc.
- Coordinate leader schedules, process applications, and administrative leader trainings
- Edit, prepare, and disseminate weekend curriculum for Early Childhood ministry at all campuses
- Collaborate with other Weekend Ministries
The ideal candidate will have:
- 2 years’ experience in a large church ministry or program role (preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or experience/training in elementary student development (preferred)
- Training and/or demonstrated experience with the pastoral care of kids and families
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, train and develop volunteer/leadership teams
- Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel, Adobe, social media and presentation platforms (graphic design i.e. Photoshop and production i.e. Premier a plus)
- Excellent oral, written and personal communication skills and an ability to work through language barriers
- Experience serving in a diverse environment and with multi-racial/cultural kids and families
This is a part-time position working 25 hours including Sundays.
