Mission Planning Specialist
Job description
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participates in the mission planning development, analyzing, testing, and training of TacMobile systems and components at Charleston, SC
- Provide mission planning assistance for testing and training of the Boeing P-8A Maritime and Reconnaissance Aircraft for the TacMobile Systems
- Creates test reports, system operational verification tests, training guides, and creates defects on various mission planning products
- Assists in keeping various associated mission planning products current, such as maps and databases when required
- Must be able to travel (50% year average) in support of systems fielding at various U.S. military installations at CONUS and OCONUS sites
MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
- 2-5 years experience required
- Must be able to create Exercise Scenarios, flight and communication plans for testing
- Must be able to use Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS) application
- Knowledge of the P-8A Mission Planning applications
- Knowledge of developing P-8A Mission Plans
- Knowledge of National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency map data
- Knowledge of various acoustic and emitter applications
- Capable of providing training of the Mission Planning applications
- Knowledge of testing and writing defects
- Capable of technical writing to produce user guides, instructions, and test procedures
- Strong knowledge of troubleshooting the Mission Planning, acoustic, and oceanographic applications
DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Familiar with various National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) maps
- Familiar with various imagery products
- Familiar with Oceanographic and Meteorological software
- Familiar with various acoustic software
- Ability to analyze and use Signal Analysis tools from post flight mission data
- Ability to analyze and use mission replay data
SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL
