Family Counseling Service of the Finger Lakes, Inc. is looking for a full-time, 35 hour per week, Mobile Integration Team Member (MIT) to join our team effective immediately! A licensed master level clinician trained in trauma-informed care and practices will be co-located as part of Elmira Psychiatric Mobile Integration Team. Services will be provided in client’s homes and in community settings. Job duties include, but are not limited to, assisting clients with counseling, obtaining resources, and completing assessments. Often described as “pre-crisis intervention,” this role offers the opportunity to assess and intervene with at-risk individuals before they are in need of a higher level of care. The MIT member will work alongside staff from EPC’s Seneca Falls office in working to prevent inpatient admissions for individual experiencing mental health concerns or crisis.

Duties and Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive treatment services to meet the needs of the clients within the respective program utilizing community, group, individual, conjoint and family therapy as needed and required

  • Becoming knowledgeable about Elmira Psychiatric Center (EPC) including the Mobile Integration Team process and requirements
  • Accompany EPC’s MIT in the field to visit with identified clients using a screening tool and/or provide direct consultation and/or support
  • Support crisis intervention and implementation of safety plans as needed and appropriate
  • Provide clinical assessments and documentation to support the MIT process
  • Use knowledge of resources within the local district to provide referrals for identified children and/or adults who may need ongoing services
  • Maintain and complete clinical documentation for all active clients in a timely manner and send to Supervisor for approval
  • Participate on task forces, community meetings or other committees, as appropriate

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or related field and must be licensed in NYS (LCSW, LMSW, LMHC)
  • Minimum of one year in clinical experience (internship included)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $53,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
