JOB PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
What does MRO stand for?
The term MRO is an acronym that stands for maintenance, repair, and operations. The term is used to describe the set of operations and activities that are associated with the upkeep of a plant of facility which can be include the physical maintenance of the structure of the building, the systems that operate within the facility, and the equipment used to produce the plant or facility’s primary business output.
MRO Coordinator will seek to improve work force productivity and work quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and coordination of labor, parts, and materials as well as equipment access. Ensure making timely and cost-effective buying decisions that remain within the budget. Manage the replenishment side of the parts room, processing purchase orders, placing orders, vendor relations and research ways to reduce cost. Ensure that maintenance parts inventory and control procedures for Maintenance Repair Operations (MRO) are in place and adhered too. Prepare, organize, and track spare parts inventory through JF/MVP. Work with the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Supervisor to establish re-order points (min-max) for all parts and supplies based on lead times and safety stock levels. Develop and maintain a critical parts program for the facility processes. Work closely with the JF/MVP Support Clerk to continuously reconcile parts, develop new parts to extend service life and build vendor partnership in an effort to reduce overall inventory. Support the review, understanding and compliance of all programs, policies and procedures contained in the Food Safety and Quality Management System. Understand that I am responsible for reporting food safety issues observed so that appropriate action can be taken. Actively participate and support the 5S and MES initiatives.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- 25% MRO coordinator shall be responsible for planning, scheduling, and the coordination of all plannable maintenance work within the facility (Shut Downs PM’s. This will include initial and continuous setup of Just Foods for the maintenance department, setting up vendors, parts, and maintenance schedules (PM’s) within the Just Foods environment. Perform work orders and PM work orders analysis to determine part criticality and inventory volume. Perform data analysis of department expenditures for management reporting. Shall interact and communicate regularly with operations and maintenance. Maintain and update procedures and controls of maintenance inventory to ensure accuracy. Keep up to date and maintain compliance the purchasing process procedure and policy. Work with the Maintenance Manager and/or Supervisor to establish re-order points for all parts and supplies in inventory.
25% Coordinate with the Maintenance JF/MVP Support Clerk on the purchase and receipt of maintenance material and consumable supplies for operation. Work with Support Clerk to develop new ways to improve purchasing and receiving reconciliation documents to 100% accuracy. Work with Maintenance Manager and/or Supervisor to maintain accurate 100% work order information in JF/MVP. Work with Maintenance Manager and/or Supervisor to perform JF/MVP training for maintenance department staffs. Work with Maintenance Manager and Supervisor to develop and maintain a “Critical Parts List” to ensure parts are available, are the correct parts and are direct replacements. Constantly evaluate the “Critical Parts List” to the equipment in service. Periodically, walk through of the process areas to get a better understanding of the parts usage.
25% Develop overall cost reduction by investigating new suppliers and contractors, and price negotiation. Track purchases from order placement until it arrives in hands of order placer. Monitor purchase requisitions to determine correctness of information, calculation, and coding. Research, identify and resolve purchasing issues and problems. Handle adjustments with suppliers, replacement of orders not conforming to specification, cancellation of orders, ensuring receipt of proper credit. Manage parts refurbish process and process RMS’s. Manage production consumables (ink, ribbon, Videojet items, etc.) Initiate contact with vendors to check availability, invoices, and purchase orders. Perform vendor evaluation. Maintain certification log books for food inspection audits (SQF, YUM, Panda, etc.).
10% Develop and maintain SOP’s and work procedures for inventory control and inventory reconciliation following GAP requirements (GAP analysis is the process where two systems are compared with each other and is undertaken as a means of bridging the space between them). Establish and monitor procedures on cycle counting and process auditing to ensure 100% accuracy. Work closely with Maintenance Technicians during equipment work to obtain better understanding of how a part is use and what is the life expectancy of the part. Reduce obsolete and non-moving inventory by 25% each year.
10% Develop and maintain the Power Lift policy and program. Perform powerlift certification and re-certification. Maintain power lift repairs, Total
Track System and attend new employee orientation to perform training.
5% Perform other duties as needed or assigned by Manager and/or Supervisor.

Education Level and Focus:
High School Diploma Required, AA or AS Degree Preferred
Years and Type of Related Experience Required:
3+ years purchasing/inventory control/capital assets or related field, 3-5 years
experience with MP2 or MVP tracking systems or equivalent inventory control
systems. 3–5-year experience in fast-paced manufacturing environment preferred.
APICS Certification preferred.
