Job Title: Aide-Multi-Purpose.
Reports to: Campus Principal.
Dept/School: Assigned Campus.
Pay Rate: $11.24 per hour minimum.
Status: Non-exempt.
Pay Grade: 1.
Primary Purpose:
- Assist in preparation and management of classroom activities and administrative requirements.
- Provide supervision of students and serve as a substitute teacher when needed.
- Work under supervision of certified teacher, administrator, or office staff member.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Candidates must possess or be willing to attain certification as an educational aide. (Cost is approximately $80).
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
- Ability to work well with children.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
EXPERIENCE:
- Some experience working with children.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
- Assist with administrative and scoring of objective testing instruments or work assignments.
- Help maintain neat and orderly work areas.
- Help keep administrative records and prepare required reports.
- Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
- Conduct instructional exercises assigned by the supervising staff members; work with individual students or small groups.
- Help supervise students throughout the day, inside and outside classroom. This includes lunchroom, bus, and playground duty (if applicable).
- Keep supervising staff members informed of special needs or problems of individual students.
- Serve as substitute teacher as assigned.
- Participate in staff development training programs to improve job performance.
- Participate in faculty meetings and special events as assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Maintain emotional control under stress.
- Frequent standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling; regular heavy lifting of student.
