The Occupational Therapist evaluates & treats patients with a wide variety of disabilities in the inpatient med-surg settings. The Occupational Therapist will be educated and experienced in treating patients of all age groups effecting their activities of daily living to help patients achieve a maximum level of functional independence using various therapeutic exercises, activities, modalities and skills. The Occupational Therapist is responsible for documenting all age appropriate patient care appropriately in the medical record to comply with the policies and procedures of the department and JCAHO requirements.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor or Master degree in Occupational Therapy, MA Licensure. CPR certified.

EXPERIENCE:

Entry-level position for inpatient sub-acute rehab, 1-3 year outpatient experience required for outpatient hand rehab with CHT preferred.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Good communication and interpersonal skills, ability to develop treatment plans.
