Dip Into Your Role
- Understand customer(s) business needs and build short and long-term strategies that support those customer goals while achieving company sales targets and financial expectations.
- Account ownership for assigned customer(s) including achieving sales targets, selling of new products/distribution gaps, account business planning support, and execution of business portfolio strategies within budget.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement by identifying new opportunities for distribution, price optimization, promotional evolution, and product placement.
- Manage the day to day account selling operations while being accountable for the delivery and execution of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
- Lead in the day to day customer interface (contract management, deduction resolution, order management, promotion calendar, customer negotiations)
- Work closely with Insights and Analytics to support the development and execution of our strategic growth pillars.
- Be a vocal leader within the organization for articulating sales execution as well as a voice for the customer.
- Identify and develop business building opportunities with customer and cross functional partners.
- Own the execution of assortment, merchandising, pricing, shelving plan (AMPS) and evaluate progress against KPIs.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain to drive efficiencies and service improvements.
- Lead post promotion analytics cross functionally.
Recipe for Success
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Minimum 5 years of working in a sales role within the CPG industry serving major/national accounts; experience in food CPG preferred.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Customer Management, Selling Process, and Customer Business Cycles.
- Excellent oral, written, interpersonal communication skills and effective relationship building skills to achieve desired customer outcomes.
- Excellent business analytical skills - use of data to drive product and pricing strategies, and their impact to production forecasts.
- Ability to transform insights and analytics into customized strategic account plans to deliver growth.
- Solid financial acumen - Understanding of P&L and price implications to optimize customer strategies and management of trade funding.
- Proven track record of molding impactful selling stories for retailers and persuasively delivering presentations by leveraging our supporting sales data and insights.
- Strong customer interaction and negotiation skill capabilities.
- Strong cross-functional and team coordination skills.
- Solution-based and growth mindset, self-starter that thrives in fast paced environment
- Ability to travel 20%.
