Job description
The Manager of Distribution is responsible for the overall multi-year strategy and management of Restaurant Technologies’ Oil Distribution. The Distribution Manager is responsible for providing collaborative leadership and a clearly articulated vision for the distribution department.
What you will do
- Creating processes and systems that optimize both customer satisfaction and route productivity.
- Develops metrics at the company, depot, route / router level that identify opportunities for improvement, including KPI and performance monitoring.
- Leverages existing technology to minimize manual effort and maximize routing algorithms.
- Integrates fleet and other variables (Supply Chain, Oil Supply, HOS, Safety, etc.) in a cross-functional fashion.
- Promotes continuous improvement mindset and environment among employees.
- Assist Operations and Regional Management in developing and implementing a strategy for achieving oil distribution targets
- Manage external partners with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement
- Builds partnerships with key stakeholders (Depot Leaders and Sales) to provide service in a more efficient manner.
- Provides leadership and day-to-day direction to the distribution team
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in logistics and transportation solutions
- Minimum 7 years of leadership experience
- Experience with automating distribution systems and solutions ie., Ortec, Solera or McLeod
- Inventory control and systems – Cooking Oil
- Experience/knowledge of Lean six sigma training/background
- Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations.
- Travel expected – up to 50%
Preferred
BS/BA degree in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field from an accredited college/university; MBA or MA/MS in supply chain is a plus
