LifePoint Health has an opportunity for a National Medical Director Ambulatory and Post-Acute Services in office, in Brentwood, TN. The National Medical Director of Ambulatory and Post-Acute Services plans, guides, supports and oversees the Quality, Patient Safety, Best Practice Clinical Operations, along with supporting growth strategies in the provider ambulatory practices, and post-acute locations inclusive of Rehabilitation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Work in close collaboration with the HSC (Health Support Center) quality team, physician services, post-acute leaders, integration department, clinical service lines, population health, clinical and business informatics
- Promote, guide, educate, communicate, and influence practice patterns and support clinical best practice within a designated location to improve outcomes, improve fiduciary stewardship, promote growth, and achieve best in class quality scores and LifePoint National Quality Program performance
- Identify and support physician leadership education activities for ambulatory and post-acute clinical/provider leadership and provide overall direction and coordination of continuing medical education, training and support for health care staff
- Provide leadership for regulatory compliance, accreditation services, physician, nurse practitioner and physician assistant on-boarding and credentialing in the physician practice and rehabilitation business units
- Collaborate with executives, local administration and clinical/provider leadership in setting and achieving goals related to improved patient outcomes, improved care delivery efficiency, minimize waste, advance quality. Participate in the development of new practice model solutions to promote cost-effective strategies
- Keep abreast of emerging models in health care delivery and identify and define strategies to support the Company’s goals and objectives
- Drive and lead clinical and operational improvements and standardization initiatives across the Company
- Partners with Population Health/CIN and physician services leadership in the development of valued-based payment model strategies; providing education, resources and tools to engage providers to succeed in these models
- Support the efforts of quality care in promoting and maintaining the highest levels of compliance with evidence-based medicine, national and HSC quality initiatives, and best practices
- Support physician and clinical practice growth by scaling retention and recruitment strategies; providing education of the care continuum and leveraging physician and clinician capability across sites of care
- Working with Physician Services to initiate, support and lead physician councils consisting of LifePoint employed providers to ensure LifePoint Health is working on and delivering the most needed improvements and support to enable high quality, efficient, and growing practices
- Working with Rehabilitation Division to support and lead IRF and ARU Medical Director Councils, support ongoing quality clinical operations initiatives (including National Quality Program deployment)
- Collaborate with and support LifePoint Medical Staff Credentialling, Provider Enrollment, OPPE, FPPE, Drug Diversion / Opioid Stewardship, ambulatory clinical research, and other provider focused teams when needed
- Support Recruitment efforts for providers across the enterprise in collaboration with the Physician Services and Rehabilitation recruitment teams
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
Education: Doctor of Medicine degree (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree (DO).
Experience: Minimum of 15 years clinical experience overseeing and leading provider groups / practices / divisions
Licenses: Current state license.
Moderate overnight travel (up to 50%) by land and/or air.
