The National Sales Director develops new business opportunities and manages existing customer relationships for our broad range of end-to-end services in the direct marketing communication arena. This critical position develops and manages major national accounts to achieve efficient and profitable sales to targeted levels. Responsibilities include:

  • Research accounts and potential contacts, make connections, and create opportunities to share IWCO Direct’s story.
  • Create proposals, negotiate agreements, establish pricing and maintain strong overall client relationships.
  • Communicate value propositions to key accounts and be able to present and close new business.
  • Assure clients receive state-of-the-art sales support, forecasting accuracy/compliance and consistent follow-up and expedient response times.
  • Establish sales goals, objectives, and action plans to develop and maintain sales/client profiles, cross-train team members, resolve sales issues and concerns, assure additional business from existing customer base, and generate potential new sales orders. Develop proactive ways to create synergy on these issues with Client Services, Marketing and Production teams.
  • Create an atmosphere that focuses on consistent service and quality results.
  • Report regularly on sales success rates; coordinate with other internal departments and staff to assure cooperative efforts toward reaching common goals for sales, revenue growth and margin improvements.
  • Participate in regularly scheduled meetings to address customer improvement needs, innovative communication enhancements, and to streamline processes to achieve best in class service so customers view IWCO Direct as the preferred vendor for their direct marketing needs.
  • Support IWCO Direct’s mission to be the best in their industry; institute best practices philosophy and ensure that all actions, plans and services are supportive of the company’s mission, culture and business philosophies.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Business, preferably with Sales, Marketing, or Communications focus.
  • 7+ years of progressive/successful Sales experience, preferably focused on national accounts within Marketing/Marketing Automation/Direct Marketing/Digital Advertising.
  • Must be a self-starter and strong communicator with excellent critical thinking, decision making and problem resolution skills.
  • Advanced analytical/numerical ability, with outstanding organization, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • PC proficiency in MS Office Suite (especially Excel) and with WebEx/GoToMeeting.
  • Occasional travel and additional time commitments required.
  • Pre-employment drug screen and background check required.

Education

Required

Bachelors or better in Sales or related field.

Preferred

Masters or better in Sales or related field.

Experience

Required

7+ years of progressive/successful Sales experience, preferably focused on national accounts within Marketing/Marketing Automation/Direct Marketing/Digital Advertising.
