National Sales Manager – Corporate Gifting & B2B
Job description
Position Purpose:
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
Financial responsibility
- Ensure achievement of annual top- and bottom-line targets
- Consistently achieve sales goals and profitability while operating within budgetary constraints to contribute to the overall profitability of Lindt & Sprüngli (USA)
- Develop and achieve accurate Everyday and Seasonal rolling sales forecasts to optimize production planning and minimize seasonal excess inventory
- Continuously seek profitability optimization initiatives with the customer
- Review pricing and discount structure to make sure its competitive and hits profit targets
- Monitor shipping and distribution costs to ensure optimal amount is covered by customer
Account Management
- Build solid base and develop partnership with larger corporate customers and distributors
- Grow the current customer base by expanding sales and buying opportunities year round
- Direct oversight of B2B Sales Reps (both Permanent & Temporary) and their ability to complete order execution, forecasting, budgeting, & field outreach
- Identify new marketing opportunities and outreach for B2B to include cost and expected ROI
- Review and identify customization options for customers that are in line or better than competition
- Complete field research in order stay on top of competitive changes and opportunities in the market
- Render high-level, strategic presentations as needed and as it relates to the business
- Work cross functionally with fulfillment, finance and IT teams to ensure compliance with on time delivery, payment and systems as well as identify processes for continued improvement
- Actively participate in the design, testing and implementation of a new online customer ordering platform to ensure premier customer experience
- Manage 3P online platform customer initatives to expand reach and drive sales
Product Knowledge
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the L&S product offering in order to optimize sales efforts and guarantee customer focused, fact based selling
- Remain up to date with new product initiatives, services and other relevant information of interest to customers
- Oversee the development of annual digital holiday catalog and work with marketing team to recommend advertising initiatives
- Continually assess competitive offerings and make recommendations to improve portfolio and services

Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of corporate gifting and B2B experience or relevant sales experience
- Chocolate, confectionary experience preferred
- 5+ years of leadership experience preferred
- Minimum bachelors degree
Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong interpersonal and fact-based selling skills; results oriented
- Successful entreprenuial, start up skills in order to redesign and build the channel
- Ability to develop accurate rolling forecasts, strategic problem solving and negotiation skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, analytical and formal presentation skills
- Creativity and understanding of product development process
- Committed to success and resilient through adversity
Education:
- Bachelors degree required
Other Requirements:
- Able to work during extended hours and or travel during key seasons (November and December) as needed
