The Network and Computer Systems Administrator will support all facets of Corporate IT and satellite locations across the country including desktop/application support, network support with a focus on cyber security, company telephone system, as well as participation in technology planning. Also responsible for supporting, collaboratively creating, and successfully implementing department and corporate strategic IT initiatives.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Opus management and other key personnel to ensure implementation of information technology priorities.
- Build effective professional and partnering relationships with Opus personnel at all levels of the organization.
- Active participation and support of information technology across Opus business units.
- Manage Corporate IT infrastructure assets.
- Monitor and support cyber security monitoring tools and liaison with 3rd party cyber security provider. Investigate and remediate identified vulnerabilities.
- Administer and manage the IT budget within prescribed guidelines, coordinating with Opus business unit leaders.
- Actively monitor the security of information systems, data, communication lines, and equipment (on-prem and cloud).
- Work to ensure resources are allocated and used efficiently and effectively to meet department and corporate goals, achieve high performance, and deliver on commitments.
- Support development of data management services in conjunction with key business development and technical personnel.
- As part of the IT team, implement changes in IT functions, structure, technology, and systems
- Other responsibilities as may be defined or changed due to business necessity
Working knowledge of IT systems and tools, network architectures and infrastructures, LAN/WAN technologies, data management technologies, and business applications.
- Experience supporting software systems, networks, data centers, and hardware.
- Ability to work in a team environment to achieve departmental goals and complete projects on time and on budget.
- Ability to analyze business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and problem-solve.
- Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to ensure successful interaction with executive and senior management and staff oversight.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in, Information Technology, Computer Science or MIS/CIS.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in a dynamic and growing IT environment
- Computer TIA certification a plus
- A+ certification a plus
- Network Certification a plus
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screen.
