AIS Construction Equipment is the oldest Michigan owned and operated heavy equipment company in the state and has been serving customers for over 60 years. We are seeking a Network Engineer - Level 2/3 to join our team in our Grand Rapids Corporate Office! You will handle a variety of projects to support and improve the organization's network systems.
Core Responsibilities:
- Assist in architecture planning and expansion
- Troubleshoot network and end user issues
- Review backups / replication and identify areas lacking in data protection
- Expand and organize documentation within N-Able Passportal
- Manage users within AD / O365
- Adjust and monitor Web Filtering & Network AV
Required skill set:
- Strong understanding of Networking, Subnetting & VLAN’s
- Basic understanding of Layer 2 vs. Layer 3 vs. MPLS traffic
- Knowledge of SAN switching, zones and working with fiber
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, MS DHCP
- Experienced in VMWare vSphere / vCenter / ESXi
- Must be experienced in troubleshooting networking issues in advanced multi-location environments
Preferred Vender knowledge:
- Cisco Firepower & Firepower Management Console
- Cisco IOS based switching
- Cisco AnyConnect VPN
- Meraki Wireless
- Meraki switching and routing
- Microsoft Office 365
- VMWare vSphere / vCenter / ESXi
- Zerto replication for VMWare
- Rubrik backup systems
- Mimecast Web and Email filtering
- N-Able Passportal
- Sophos Antivirus
Prior Experience:
- Certificates are a plus but not required, MS Sec+, Cisco CCNA or like, Meraki ECMS
- Proficiency in Cisco Firepower with Firepower Management Console BIG PLUS
- Will have access to expert level support both internal and external as well as current product support subscriptions on software and hardware utilized throughout the AIS corporation
- 4+ Years experience REQUIRED / extra consideration given towards multi-site corporation with advanced routing experience and MSP experience
