POSITION


Responsible for the execution of projects and break/fix support across Cisco Routing & Switching in a fast-paced retail environment.


  • Design and implement functional network infrastructure including but not limited to Cisco routers, switches, wireless access points and controllers.
  • Assist with the design and implementation of WANs for resiliency and redundancy.
  • Install, administer and troubleshoot layer 2/3 switching including Cisco Catalyst, Nexus platforms and Velo Software Defined Wide Area Networks.
  • OOB Management and Wireless services.
  • Work with Network Engineering Team Leads and Lead Network Engineers to develop and design best practice solutions and associated documentation (Break/Fix and Deployment Guides).
  • Mentor fellow Network Engineers to encourage teamwork and professional growth. Participate in team training programs.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers and vendors.
  • Keep current on relevant technologies.
  • Participate in rotation of after hours on call support.

QUALIFICATIONS


  • Minimum 5 years in enterprise security and network engineering and support in a distributed / multi-location environment.

ROUTE / SWITCH


  • Experience should include Cisco ISR Router, Cisco Catalyst Switches, Meraki Switches, SD-WAN, Network Analysis Tools (Solarwinds | Wireshark) EIGRP, OSPF and BGP.

WIRELESS


  • Experience should include Cisco Meraki Wireless, 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, 2.4ghz and 5ghz, Mesh Wireless, P2P Wireless Bridging, Broadcast/Sector/Patch Antennas

OTHER


  • Ability to communicate and present objectives verbally and in writing to a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to work independently in a self-directed manner and collaboratively as a member of the team.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize complex, changing workloads in a challenging technical environment.
  • Work both independently and as a member of a team for project execution.
  • Ability to write clear, concise documentation.
