We are currently seeking a Network Travel Technician to join our client’s team onsite. This position will be for a duration of 12 months with the possibility of extension. This Technician can be located in Juno Beach, West Palm Beach, Miami, or Fort Lauderdale, FL and will be required to travel within the state of Florida.
Scope of Activity and Responsibilities:
We are currently seeking a Network Travel Technician to join our client’s team onsite. This position will be for a duration of 12 months with the possibility of extension. This Technician can be located in Juno Beach, West Palm Beach, Miami, or Fort Lauderdale, FL and will be required to travel within the state of Florida.
Scope of Activity and Responsibilities:

Perform operating system provisioning and administration including system patch management
- Responsible for assembly of switch hardware, uploading of Cisco IOS, creation of configuration files, rack mounting, and troubleshooting

Take out routers and racks in old facilities or rack and stack in new facilities
- Works with application users and data owners to maintain named user access controls within current security roles and coordinate systems life cycle events

Monitors relevant systems for availability and performance

Follows established IT processes for change, configuration, and problem management as well as regulatory requirements such as NERC / CIP

Complete facilities decommission and openings

Responsible for replacing end of life (EOL) Cisco network switches throughout West Palm Beach area

Conducts routine hardware and software audits of servers to ensure compliance with established standards
Required Skills and Qualifications:
-
Minimum 3+ years of networking experience within an enterprise environment required

Works well with no supervision, ability to work independently required

Strong all-around verbal and written communication skills
-
Including process and diagrammatical documentation as well as presentation skills

CCNA certification preferred but not required
-
Strong MS Excel and Word skills required

Must have reliable transportation, valid DL and insurance, and clean driving record

Must be able to stay overnight when necessary but most travel will be home daily

Must be able to carry and lift boxes up to 50lbs.

Flexibility with some OT and some weekends as needed

Will be paid mileage for using personal car
